At present, 7 towers of the Kremlin are preserved, the most significant of which are Marinkina, the Faceted and Travel Pyatnitskaya.

On the territory of the Kremlin is the Cathedral Square, the architectural appearance of which is the Assumption Cathedral, built by order of Dmitry Donskoy, the tent bell tower (XVII century), the most powerful belfry of this type in the Moscow region; Tikhvin Cathedral (XVIII-XIX centuries); The Trinity Novo-Golutvin Monastery (XVII-XIX centuries) and the school (beginning of the XX century).

Among the most ancient buildings of the Kolomna Kremlin is the Resurrection Church adjoining Cathedral Square (XIV-XIX centuries), in which Prince Dmitry Donskoy was crowned with Evdokia of Suzdal in 1366, and Nikola Gostiny Church (1501) was one of the first brick churches in Russia.

On the Theater Square there are the Drama Theater, a monument to KE Tsiolkovsky and the Nikolo-Yamskaya Church are located.

The monument to S.A. Esenin is the main and largest monument of famous countrymen located in Ryazan.

The saying “We have mushrooms with eyes here in Ryazan, they are eaten – they look” (during the Tatar-Mongol invasion, mushrooms were an indicator of where the Mongols raced on their horses) was an ispiration for the sculptural composition called “The Ryazan mushrooms with eyes”.

A beautiful panorama of the Ryazan Kremlin from the embankment of the River Trubezh.

From the south-west side of the Kremlin, there is a hill with an ancient ramprant – a fortification of the XIII-XVII centuries. Before the end of the XVII – the beginning of the XVIII century, there were wooden walls and towers of the Kremlin, in front of the ramprant there was a defensive ditch filled with water.

The territory of the Cathedral Park is connected with the Kremlin by the Glebovsky Bridge, which successfully performed defence functions in the 15th century. During sieges, the bridge rose to the walls, thereby blocking the way for the attackers.

In the western part of Cathedral Park there is the Church of the Savior on Yar, which offers a wonderful view of the water meadows. The graceful five-domed church is deservedly considered one of the best in Ryazan and is also the oldest temple in the city.

The chain of fortifications in the plan has the shape of an irregular polygon, the corners of which are towers. At present time 12 towers are preserved. The length of the Kremlin wall is 2045 m.
